2-Day Tour to Mugecuo Lake, Moshi Park, Muya Gold Tower and Xinduqiao from Chengdu
Western Sichuan, the west out of Chengdu Plain, is the most attractive tourist destination in Sichuan: snow-capped mountains, crystal clear lakes, plateaus, valleys, plains, rivers, hot springs, waterfalls, limestone caves, and even danxia formation.
Day 1. Chengdu - Mugecuo - Xinduqiao by car
Pick up from your hotel in Chengdu at 7:30am, then take 4-hour car ride to Mugecuo in Kangding County.
Mugecuo Scenic Area is situated in the north of Kangding County, the home of Kangding love songs in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan. Mugecuo Lake, also called "Wild Man Sea", with an altitude of 12,140 feet (3,700 meters), is a large plateau lake. It is surrounded by pines, cedars, and rhododendron trees on three sides. Crystal clear lakes, waterfalls, flowers, dense woods, hotspring, grotesque rocks , and snow-capped mountains which can be found in this scenic area, constituted beautiful pictures. You'll enjoy this big nature for a half day.
After visiting, you'll be transferred to Xinduqiao Town for overnight.

Day 2. Xinduqiao - Moshi Park - Muya Gold Tower (Tagong Grassland) - Chengdu
You'll be picked up at 7:30am after breakfast, then transfer to Moshi Park Scenic Area, one of the Geological Wonders of the world. Featuring its unique geographical landform, it makes you feel like in the alien planet. The astonishing stone forest landscape was formed after thousands years of geographic movements and weathering. Now it is a popular photo-shooting destination. Tourists like taking funny pictures or videos here.
After that, you'll visit Muya Gold Tower, which is next to Tagong Grassland, also with an altitude of 12,140 feet (3,700 meters). "Tagong" is Tibetan language, it means "The place that Buddha loves ". Muya Gold Tower, a magnificent pagoda, is a very famous spot here, for the tower top is made of gold, which is more than 80kg. Two rows of small exquisite white towers standing on the top of the red walls are just in front of it, like the guards. The white, red and gold color together are so nice under the plateau blue sky. Many Tibetans come and pray here piously.
You'll pass Xinduqiao again for lunch. It is called“Corridor of Photographers”. You can take beautiful pictures here, especially from June to November. Colorful flowers in the meadows in Summer, golden leaves on trees and mountains in Autumn, and Tibetan style dwellings, together give you a unique Tibetan area scenery. Even a casual photo also looks like a picture.
Then you'll take the car ride back to your Chengdu hotel where the tour concludes.
